- Picked this Hotel as it was away from our usual city haunts and Boy did we get it right. Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful especially Aoife on reception and Ger the Manager whom we felt went that extra mile to make our stay more pleasant. - I stayed at The Springfield on Saturday 8th June 2013 for one night, the standard of the Hotel and all staff was excellent. I would like to give a special mention to Linda on reception, whose attitude and helpfulness was greatly appreciated, and thanks for the sandwiches Linda they were great.

The Curragh is an historical military assembly and training area. Its ancient name of ‘CUIRREACH LIFE’ would suggest that at one time it extended to the banks of the River Liffey. In pre-Christian times it was the site of Aonach Life, a gathering of all the people of the Kingdom of Leinster.
