- Picked this Hotel as it was away from our usual city haunts and Boy did we get it right. Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful especially Aoife on reception and Ger the Manager whom we felt went that extra mile to make our stay more pleasant. - I stayed at The Springfield on Saturday 8th June 2013 for one night, the standard of the Hotel and all staff was excellent. I would like to give a special mention to Linda on reception, whose attitude and helpfulness was greatly appreciated, and thanks for the sandwiches Linda they were great.

The Straffan Butterfly Farm which is owned and run by Des and Iris Fox has been open to the public every summer since 1986. The butterfly exhibition continues to run every year during the months of June, July and August in Straffan, Co. Kildare, Ireland.
